Kevin Durant is making moves both on and off the court. The NBA player announced on Boardroom — a media site he cofounded with his longtime friend and manager Rich Kleiman — that he signed a lifetime contract with Nike.

"When I first signed with Nike, I couldn't have dreamed of how far we'd go in this partnership," Durant said. "We've done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We've traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I'm excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal."

Durant is now the third NBA player to have signed a major lifetime contract with Nike. The other two belong to Michael Jordan and LeBron James. The Phoenix Suns star has teamed up with Nike in the past and during their partnership released 15 signature shoes together.

Durant also announced on Instagram that a 16th is on the way.
