Kai Cenat Reacts to Doja Cat’s New Song ‘Demons’

Doja Cat or Doja Demon?

Doja Cat released the cover art and music video for her latest single “Demons” on Friday (Sept 1).

And, to no surprise, it not only has the internet in shambles, but Kai Cenat has also weighed in on the controversial song.

The popular streamer recently took to his platform to view Doja Cat’s new video and it didn’t take long for him to immediately turn it off. He then went a step further and proceeded to play the song “God Can Move A Mountain,” — a sentiment most people online agreed with.

“Me cuz i play gospel music every time i hear doja,” one user commented on TikTok. “kai so real for that,” another wrote. “Thank you cuz after this video I need to listen to some worship too cuzzzz.”

The official music video stars Christina Ricci and is more like a miniature film that has a scary movie “American Horror Story” feel to it.

In “Demons,” Doja Cat can be seen seemingly dressed as one, as she crawls on the ceiling like something straight out of Amityville.

The dark-gory aesthetic appears to be the theme for her highly anticipated album “Scarlet” which is slated to be released on Sept. 22. The singer has also visibly gone from her pink, girl, and certainly quirky pop-culture style to a more spooky and ominous look.

In addition, Doja Cat’s single has caused an uproar with the Black “X” Twitter community with many of her supporters threatening to “unfollow” her and others vowing to “delete” Doja Cat’s music from their playlist.

“Def had to unfollow Doja Cat. Ion play w that demon stuff,” one user wrote on Twitter. “So are we not going to act like Doja Cat is a legit demon. Let me delete them songs off my phone,” another wrote. “I’m trying to go to heaven.”

Meanwhile, other long-time fans aren’t the least bit shocked by Doja Cat’s change in imagine as many are not new to the artist’s unique style and interesting taste in “demons” or aesthetic.

“Demons by doja cat is in fact a banger and i can’t stop listening to it,” one fan wrote. “The last verse in Demons by Doja cat goes so hard lol like she really goes in those last few mins left of the song,” another shared.
